Job Description:
- Publishes new/amended content
Receiving & reviewing initial requests for content uploads for:
- design issues, that might conflict with current templates/standards and
the limitations of the tools used to develop the site, and content issues, providing an initial check for file compliance.
- Checking with content owner that the relevant rights for documents and imagery have been obtained.
- Providing guidance to content owners on posting based on current guidelines.
- Proposes solutions/enhancements for site
- Uploading site resources and creating web pages accordingly.
- Selects and amends imagery/flash as required.
Produces and analyses web analytics reports:
- Uses web analytics tools to pull selected frequent reports.
- Undertakes initial analysis and documents highlights
- Circulates reports among Client team.
Performs general web site maintenance:
- Scanning for site defects and design inconsistencies.
- Ensuring site search and navigation remains functional and representative of the content within the site.
- Raising tickets with Global ITS function in Toronto for platform issues
with initial testing in staging environments before approving promotion
to production.
- Ensuring usability of site in terms of page load-time and browser compatibility.
- Ongoing evolution of this channel
- Monitors MOSS developments and industry standards/best practice.
- Ad-hoc project work.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong analytical skills and experience of analytics tools for statistical reporting.
- A professional and organized approach to work and a strong team player
- Ability to use their own initiative and prioritize workloads effectively
- Capable of working to tight deadlines
- Experience in Content Management Systems (MCMS and MOSS2007 an advantage).
- Proficient in use of HTML, XML, CSS, RSS, Flash and Image editing software
