Hi Everybody,

We are in process of replacing out old Content Managment Tool

we have Teamsite and we have customised it to a large extent

1. It does templating for us

2. It is integrated in our Security Logging System to restrict access

3. It secures documents version as well as secures document access rights

4. It hosts our websites which have customer interface

5. The Most Important is "WE REQUIRE A CONTENT MANAGMENT TOOL" which can do OFFLINE Web Page generation for us. Our present tool cooks up Webpages offline  and stores on the production server. We dont want online webpage generation.

Anybody please suggest me any Open Source of even Leased version considering cost and our strategic needs. We are a Fortune 500 company and biggest business in our segment

Please take a look at open source OpenEdit framework for CMS. We can meet your needs as you have described them in your post - OpenEdit does offline web page generation as well. BTW, we are currently adding Subversion into OpenEdit

  • SEO friendly. HTML based web sites. No ugly PHP or ASP style syntax in your HTML.
  • Fast setup. No external dependencies. No database to setup. Just unzip and run.
  • Design focused. Flexible template engine that uses your custom CSS / HTML. Layout within layout reusability. Clean separation of look and feel from content. No display limitations.
  • Stable. Built-in plugin installer allows live upgrades and installations of plugins. Make configuration changes without restarting the server.
  • Full featured. Enterprise grade plugins such as eCommerce, Digital Asset Management, Blogs, Events Calendar, Site Search, optional db plug-in, Flex and more.
  • Low maintenance. Never again copy, paste, and maintain similar HTML code. Use OEF's multiple fallback to extend any part of the OpenEdit Framework or extend any plugin without losing the ability to upgrade.
  • Reusable. Use OEF's fallback to create multiple unique instances of a single plugin within a single OEF site.
  • Speed. Screaming fast performance and low memory usage.
  • Accessible. Edit files quickly without recompiling or caching problems. Browser based editing tools. No desktop application required.
  • Interoperability. Use as much or as little OEF as you like. XML based for easy integration with your existing infrastructure.
  • Collaborative environment. Permission based architecture for multiuser collaboration

Let me know if you have any questions! Thanks for looking at OpenEdit!!

Pure SEO CMS is a db to html cms system so it creates the site offline for you to check before it gets uploaded. Also the parsing engine runs as an exe on your PC so you don't need any complicated servers to set up.

There is also a free version

Sounds like you want the ease of use that SilverStripe provides, along with our static-caching feature, which is used to power websites like the U.S. Democratic National Convention and the Californian Women's Conference website, both of which need to handle bursts of millions of visitors.

SilverStripe is entirely open source and free, with documentation to support you independantly deploying the website with it. However the authors provide professional support, strategy, visual design, development, customisation, and hosting as desired, which was used in the two examples above to provide an excellent end-result. Please consider learning more at www.silverstripe.com (and in particular you may enjoy watching the two videos found on the overview page.) Some example of websites built on the SilverStripe platform by the professional firm behind it include:
