I've searched high and low and everytime I find what I need something goes wrong.

It needs to be free as well I'm in high school and currently jobless :( .

It also needs to run on Apache, PHP, and MySQL.

Features I'm looking for:

-Forum

-Blog(or news management either or)

-sub menues depending on the page your one(As its going to have 2 guides that will probably have some sub-pages.)

I know Typo3 gives you the freedom to this but I had troubles installing.(I'll try again though if thats the only one that will work).

Check www.pluscms.net. It gieves you a freedom to extend and build whatever you want if you are a PHP programmer.

It's free for non-commercial purpose.

For what you want, there is no better CMS than Drupal!  We have deployed this product several times and can't recommend it enough.  If you have questions, please contact me.

It seems you are correct with drupal.  I seem to be able to organize things pretty well but I'm having troubles wrapping my head around the taxonomy thing.  I mean I can use the book module for the guids and if the site works without taxonomy why do I need it?

I have been looking at options for a CMS and after about a month of looking, I am going to go with Drupal.  It seems to be very flexible and easy to use.  I would say try it.  I am going to start working with it within the week.   Let me know how you do.  It is a difficult desion to make.
